Learn to Sketchnote!
Sketchnoting is a way of capturing ideas using a combination of words, simple drawings, symbols, and visual organization. It can help you stay focused, make connections, remember information, and engage more deeply with what you’re learning.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore why sketchnoting works—and, most importantly, HOW to do it. Through simple activities and lots of low-pressure practice, you’ll build your own visual vocabulary and experiment with ways to use sketchnoting in meetings, classes, presentations, brainstorming, and beyond.
No artistic skills are required. Really! If you can draw a line, a circle, a square, and a stick figure, you can sketchnote.
A personal note from Mellisa:
Sketchnoting genuinely changed the way I learn. After being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult, I began to understand why traditional note-taking had never really worked for my brain. Sketchnoting gave me a way to focus, process information, and actually remember more of what I was hearing.
Now, one of my favorite things is helping other people discover that drawing isn’t just about making art—it can be a powerful tool for thinking, learning, and communicating.

Working with Mellisa of Iceberg Consulting was truly energizing! From the start, she brought incredible, fun ideas that added a new and engaging layer to our annual NEK Together Conference, something we were deeply grateful for.
